The Broken Few – EP Release Party

I had the opportunity to photograph The Broken Fews EP release party on October 8, 2016 at the News Cafe in Pawtucket Rhode Island. Being that it was taking place at quite a small bar, i didnt expect too much of a crowd. Let me tell you, they proved me wrong. As soon as the band took the stage and started singing, or rather screaming, everyone started jumping around. They picked up the singer and had him crowd surf around the tiny bar. The energy at the show was intense, and everyone started moshing to the music causing me to run to safety to protect my camera! All in all it was one of my most interesting local shows ive had a chance to photograph, so do yourself a favor, if you like moshing and bands with high energy go check out The Broken Few.

Review : Yellowcard | The Final World Tour

Photos by : Cristine Trimarco

On November 9th, 2016 many people gathered in New York City at PlayStation Theater for a very special show. This would be Yellowcard’s last New York City show ever. Yellowcard became a band in 1997, they are from Jacksonville Florida and have been based in Los Angeles California since 2000. In early summer 2016 they announced their last album titled Yellowcard and The Final World Tour. Being a band for almost 20 years they have made 5 EP’s and 13 albums. Many of which were and still are very successful. They have changed so many lives over the years. For this final tour they have taken two bands on tour with them they are Dry Jacket an Indie Rock band from Marlton, New Jersey and Like Torches an Alternative Rock band from Stockholm, Sweden. The night started with Dry Jacket’s performance which was great. While being mellow they also had that rock sense which made them have a unique sound that was perfect for this tour. The next band to perform was Like Torches, they were slightly heavier throwing in some scream vocals here and there which got the crowd even more pumped than they already were. Finally Yellowcard performed starting with old songs progressing into new ones. Going back and forth between old songs and new ones was very refreshing. The performance was one of their best (in my opinion). Yellowcard played a total of 24 songs including an encore. It was a bittersweet feeling once the show was over. If the tour didn’t stop in your city just yet I highly suggest seeing them one last time.

Review : The Made To Destroy Tour | 10/8/16

Photos by : Cristine Trimarco at the NYC date of tour.

I never pass up the opportunity to see Pierce the Veil perform and The Made to Destroy tour was no exception. Pierce the Veil put on an amazing show as always featuring tracks from their older albums and from their latest release Misadventures. The show was complete with opening performances from I Prevail and Neck Deep. Both bands put on amazing sets as well. All in all the show was one for the books. Pierce the Veil is most definitely one of my favorite bands to see perform. Their energy at every show is incredible. They know how to get the crowd excited which always makes for a good show environment. If you have yet to see them perform I highly recommend it next time they come around.

Misadventures – Pierce The Veil

PTV-M.jpg

The highly anticipated album, Misadventures by Pierce the Veil was released on Friday May 13th. That is almost four years since the bands last release. For those of you who don’t know, Pierce the Veil is a hardcore band from San Diego. The band dubbed themselves as the genre of Mexicore being that all the members are Mexican. The band consists of Vic Fuentes (vocals, guitar), Tony Perry (lead guitar), Jaime Preciado (bass), and Mike Fuentes (drums). Although the new album is different from the band’s previous releases the album have a very similar sound to their previous work. The album shows their growth as a band while still keeping the sound that makes this band so unique. The album consists of 11 tracks. The first track to be released was “The Divine Zero”. This track was released over the summer prior to the bands run on the Vans Warped Tour. After the release of that track it took until May for the rest of the album to be released. Many fans were getting angry and thought they were never going to get a new album. Now that the album is finally released all the fans seem to finally be satisfied. Personally, the wait was worth it because it gave the band the time to release a very well thought out album. The lyrics are all very meaningful and hit hard on the emotions of all the members. The track that stands out most is the track “Circles” which is said to be written about the attacks that happened in Paris. Lyrically, it is one of the strongest tracks on the album. Being someone who is quite familiar with all the discography of the band I can see that this album is the strongest and shows the bands growth over the years while still keeping their style. Many bands tend to conform to the standards of music as they get bigger but Pierce the Veil didn’t try to “sell out” with their sound. All in all my favorite track off the album is “Floral & Fading” because of its uniqueness in style. My least favorite track off the album is “Texas is Forever”. To me this track goes a little all over the place with the tune and guitar riffs. Despite that I still enjoy the song. You can really hear all the hard work that went into making this album and each song has its own uniqueness that makes it stand out. Some albums have an extreme sense of unity that make all the tracks sound too similar. Misadventures has a sense of unity without that sameness between the tracks. I think overall I would give this album a 4.5/5. Good job guys on another amazing release.

Each song starts out with a tune that seems to catch your attention which makes you want to continue listening. I have three favorite tracks off of this album so far, 1,2, & 10. BoyMeetsWorld Deput Full Length Album “Become Someone” review

BoyMeetsWorld, a five-piece has been on the fast track forming in the summer of 2012. They have previously released their debut EP entitled, “Do What’s Best For You,” their Christmas Album entitled, “Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal”, and now their debut full length “Become Someone” June 16th, 2015 right before starting their summer of performances on Vans Warped Tour. “Become Someone” has a total of twelve tracks, number twelve being the bonus acoustic track.  In my opinion, the songs touch upon the situations, and or problems in a teen through young adult’s life. Those things being love, friendship, adventure and finding out the person you are meant to be. Track 2, “So In What?” not only has amazing riffs, it’s the perfect song to listen to if you’re in need of learning how to cope with a relationship ending.  Track 5, “Best You’ve Ever Had” is lyrically one of my favorites off of this album.  As for what I believe will be most impacting and meaningful, that would be Track 11, “Become Someone”. I highly suggest picking it up. Also, if Vans Warped Tour has not rolled through your town just yet, be sure to check set times and catch their set. – Christine
