Thursday, July 17th Queen & Adam Lambert performed at Madison Square Garden. This is was another show apart of their North American Tour. Amazing effects including lights, fog machines and many props left the packed arena cheering for more. Starting with a dropped curtain and the silhouette of Adam Lambert the show only went up from there. Original members Brian May and Roger Taylor made sure the crowd didn’t forget how Freddie Mercury and the rest of the band became rock gods. Using the oval screen placed behind the stage they included Freddie Mercury heavily into the show including backstage clips from their life on the road when they first started out and a tribute to the late Mercury. It was clear Adam Lambert wasn’t trying to be Freddie Mercury but he put his own twist on the vocals of the classic songs. During Bohemian Rhapsody once again showed Freddie this time he was singing the song and Adam Lambert sang with them. During the show Brian May shed some tears when doing a solo he would have normally done with Freddie. He encouraged the audience to sing along and the whole arena was in awe. While Adam was backstage doing one of many costume changes Brian and Roger brought out the people of the band who helped to make the show what it was including Rogers son. They did an acoustic song which proved to be one of the highlights of the night. Roger and his son also participated in a drum battle which showed both of their amazing talents. Roger also sang which proved he was more than just an amazing drummer. Adam Lambert’s performance was fantastic. The notes he hit gave me chills, so did his charming personality. He made sure he talked to the crowd and connected to them. His use of props also was a great choice. During Killer Queen he had his own couch where he laid and drank champagne, which he later shared with the audience. His costumes were exciting too they ranged from a simple vest, t-shirt and jeans to a leopard suit with a crown fit for a king. The show closed with an encore of We Are The Champions, We Will Rock You and tons of confetti and fog.

Wednesday night, the upcoming British band The Vamps did their first ever headlining show at Gramercy Theater in New York City. The band is made up of Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Tristan Evans, and Connor Ball. Over 500 people waited outside in the cold and rain to be able to see the boys at their first ever concert in the United States.
AJR Brothers opened for The Vamps. They got the crowd moving with some of their singles, like “I’m Ready” and “Livin’ on Love”.
The Vamps came on singing “Wildheart” their new single just released here in the United States. They also sang a few new unreleased songs, and even did a cover of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. The show was full of energy, and Mr. Evans may have even kissed Mr. Simpson on his cheek during one of the songs.
The concert overall was amazing, and I had such an amazing time. It’s crazy to see a band that you’ve been watching on YouTube since the beginning, live for the first time. I’m incredibly proud of these boys and can’t wait to see where they go from here.
Were any of you at the show? If not, make sure to check out the band’s single “Wildheart” on iTunes and check them out on twitter @TheVampsBand

These Machines, from New York City, is a Pop/Rock band lead by Michael Giordano (Lead Vocals/Guitar/Piano) and Alex Titta (Vocals,Guitar,Ukulele/Misc). With influences old (The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel) and new (Onerepublic, Fun.) the songwriting duo writes with a Pop sensibility while maintaining an Indie edge.
Seeing as they are just starting out, we ( The TCAP Team ) figured they would be the perfect Artist of the Month.

On October 29 ,2012 Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast hard. Many people lost their homes and families. The devastation still continues, and all we can do is pray for better days to come.
