Wednesday night, the upcoming British band The Vamps did their first ever headlining show at Gramercy Theater in New York City. The band is made up of Bradley Simpson, James McVey, Tristan Evans, and Connor Ball. Over 500 people waited outside in the cold and rain to be able to see the boys at their first ever concert in the United States.
AJR Brothers opened for The Vamps. They got the crowd moving with some of their singles, like “I’m Ready” and “Livin’ on Love”.
The Vamps came on singing “Wildheart” their new single just released here in the United States. They also sang a few new unreleased songs, and even did a cover of “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers. The show was full of energy, and Mr. Evans may have even kissed Mr. Simpson on his cheek during one of the songs.
The concert overall was amazing, and I had such an amazing time. It’s crazy to see a band that you’ve been watching on YouTube since the beginning, live for the first time. I’m incredibly proud of these boys and can’t wait to see where they go from here.
Were any of you at the show? If not, make sure to check out the band’s single “Wildheart” on iTunes and check them out on twitter @TheVampsBand
