“An Exercise In Form” the acoustic EP released May 15th by The Orphan The Poet is definitely worth listening too. Based in Ohio this four piece Indie/Rock group came together to create music even if the nearest venue to play in was 100 miles away. The Orphan, The Poet has been featured in Substream Music Press, ranked in Smartpunk’s Top 40 Unsigned Bands and were chosen for PureVolume’s 2010 Holiday Sampler.This EP is four tracks long, each song having it’s own meaningful story. David’s ( lead singer/guitarist) voice is really soothing, and the instruments fit perfectly as well. What can I say, I’m a sucker for acoustic jams. As for my favorite song on the EP, it’s tied between “To Those Who Are Called Icarus” and “Invincible”. Be sure to like them on facebook : The Oprhan, The Poet . -Christine

20 year old Struan Shields from Virginia recently released his music video for his song ” If I’m Being Honest ” ( video above ) and I absolutely love it.The song is so catchy, and the vocals are so great. If you haven’t yet, give this Paradise Fears cover a listen. Sam’s voice goes perfectly with Jordan’s hand drumming on his guitar. Cole’s harmonies are perfect as always.Michael and his piano playing, Marcus and his bass playing just everyone is extremely talented with their instruments. Lucas even uses his shaker perfectly.
